Out of 180 countries on 161 position just bellow Singapore and better than 8 Arab countries Iraq 163, Lybia 165, Egypt 166, Bahrain 168, Yemen 169, Saudia 170, Syria 173 and Djibouti 176. Djibouti was the worse country in the Arab "Dictators" league and slightly better than these countries

I doubt this. Somalia has very poor governance and they don’t care about collecting official data, which is why in most of these world polls and data stuff their metrics is always bottom ten. Not necessarily shows they’re the worst at everything, just that by default of having no data - either nobody collecting it or no one brave enough to do data research there, they rank low on everything.

Cause Somalia press are not exactly fearing death for reporting stuff, they actually seem to post a lot of sides on political issues and not shilling for one side. One single event will have dozens of reporters or journalists reporting on with differing views

I guess press freedom also encompasses journalist safety in the country and maybe that is a correct assessment there, reporters don’t feel physically safe in Somalia, but who really does? Just the elite, not the citizens

Djboutians are the most submissive and soft malis. They have zero dhiig or zoonimo. That's the reason they still have a dictator in 2021. And still speak the language of their long time abusers and oppressors. :ohno: :ohno: :sass2:

There are Arabs, Afars and Somalis in Djibouti. In order to function as a country, they need a unifying working language amongst different tribes and ethnicities. Granted French is a colonizer language, it still unites them. Besides, English is still a colonizer language if they chose that instead. Although it’d be more useful given its global language status

I have some Issa cousins and they speak somali, French and Arabic cause they grew up in Djibouti. That’s 4 languages altogether so impressive whatever way u look at it, even tho they can only speak broken French and Arabic now after living abroad for so long. At least the Djiboutians are educated

Actually Reporters Without Borders have had visited Somalia, meet its local partner organisation, the National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ), and condemned a lot of things that happen to Somali journalists. So they know through the NUSOJ or saw it by themselves

Somaliland and Puntland do, and they are probably the reason why we are that low on that list. RSF has used events that happened to journalists in both region as data.

If they used new metrics and not old data from ten years ago I suppose it’s more accurate. My issue with world polls is due to what I just mentioned; using 2010 data due to nothing new available and reporting it as 2021 Somalia. But i guess that is indicative of somalias Qasaaronimo in itself, that they can’t be bothered to muster up recent data to represent their nation
