Do not believe and repeat liberal population control propaganda. A bigger population is always a blessing and it is mentioned in the Quran, Allah swt multiples people as a blessing and he is the one who provides for children.

There is a huge push by liberals to reduce certain populations by pushing these ideologies of scarcity, contraceptives, by pushing people to have children later and later in life etc.

Islam teaches us the opposite, you can see the result of these ideologies in western countries.

Yes, but OP is infering population control from a government perspective, not from a family's perspective. Of course we are encouraged to have kids, but that hadith can't just be applied without the interpretation of scholars who will say there are specific contexts in which it doesn't make sense to keep breeding and causing more suffering for your people.

No, Islam incentivized large families. The Prophet sws even encouraged it to grow the size of the ummah.

Children are a blessing and never a cause of suffering as sustenance is from Allah swt.

This is explicit in Islam at all levels.

Avoiding children due to fear of poverty is directly condemned by Allah swt in the Quran.

It is a tenant of liberalism that has been popularized by the west.

Muslims should focus on growing and having large families.

Somalia's under 5 mortality (includes infant mortality) lowers Somalia's crude birth rate by ~ 7%. The number of children who die is no where near enough to blunt Somalia's growth rate. 93% of children born in Somalia survive.

@bohom high fertility is our greatest defense against Ethiopia. The more Somalis there are the better off we will be in the long run. If Somalia cannot support us, we will move into Ethiopia and Kenya. They don't have nuclear weapons to stop us from doing so.
