There is a reason why Somalia has 4.5 power-sharing and it's to "balance" the tribes power sharing.
A Daarood President is meant to appease Daarood as is a Hawiye PM. These two in power is supposed to stabilise Somalia. For instance if Khayre is trying to build Hobyo and recruiting HAG soldiers, Farmaajo was meant to do the same for Daarood.
Ideally, leaders are supposed to be civil servants representing the entire country but Somalia is hundreds of years behind other nations. Therefore, in the meantime, if there was equal power-sharing between Somalia's main rivals; Daarood /Hawiye, we would have less issues.
Instead, we have Farmaajo trying to destroy Puntland and trying to undermine Absame in favour of his own Marehan clan that he has now isolated himself totally and destroyed Daarood's chances of having equal representation in the army.
Right now, Hawiye have more soldiers and ALL Somalia's wealth and job opportunities concentrated in their hands aka "the capital city".
This is precisely why Daarood clans are disappointed and disgusted with Farmaajo and he will look back and regret this.
1. He could have either been a great Somali leader that unified Somalia by being fair and equal.
2. He could have been as SAHAL as Khayre is HAG and balanced the power.
This is also why Puntland can never trust a Marehan in charge. We welcome their leaders with open arms, time and time again, and they just revert to their true nature. They waste the Daarood opportunity with their strange ways.
Next Daarood candidate should be a federalist Absame or Puntite.
