Not really. There are some Islamic related terms that have obvious Arabic origins but other than that Somali poetry has archaic somali words rooted in our tradition

Here's an example:

Maandhow sidii ibilka way, ololinaysaaye

In normal speech nobody would say ibil instead of geel, but nevertheless the arabic word is used by the sayyid. I noticed this with a lot of poems, probably to fit the metre or alliteration or whatever
