Somalia is a very progressive nation

Yep, it's a myth that we are the same people. I have always said Somalia is as diverse as any other African country.

These people will deny it but Somalis do have cultural differences. Just recently, we saw Abgaal people chopping each other up, girls and women included in aggressors and victims. Have you ever seen MJs or other Puntites do this? Nope.

When MJs and Puntites fight, it is man vs man. That is it.

The same way we have different cultural dances and dialects, we have subtle and apparent differences in behavior.

Somalis across all of Soomali weyn can relate to one each other. We all speak the same language, follow the same religion and have the same dhaqan. We’re all geel raac wandering nomads only separated by clan and low intelligence.You can’t compare Somalia to Uganda or Nigeria in terms of diversity and expect people to agree with you

We do NOT have the same culture.
We share a general language and we have camels, but that is it.

Hawiye clan elders do not enforce law and order. Puntite elders do.
You eat cambuulo and bun, we do not.
You dance wilisaqo etc. we do not.
You harm girls, women, elderly during conflicts, we do not.

Even your dialects are different to ours. Different dialects develop from living apart.

Somalia still enslaved and colonized both mentally and physically. First they force upon us democracy and now we can't even choose whom we want to vote for.

Gender quota is not the end of the world, you need diverse voices in government. Also what we have right now can barely be called a democracy.
