What is considered rural population? Are small towns and tuulos counted as rural or is it only the nomads .
I really doubt that 9 out of 16 million somalis are proper nomads

These numbers don't make sense. Take Hirshabelle for example. UN 2014 population estimate had Hiraan around 520k but according to here it decreased to 457k whilst S/dhexe was similar population with 516k but now is 918k?

How do they even decide what's urban or rural? For Bari they only put 147k as urban so I'm assuming they are only counting Boosaaso which even then is an underestimate of the population. A city like Qardho should also be considered urban, the whole list makes no sense, I'd like to know how they got their numbers.

Looks like they over estimated the rural/nomadic population they even have some of xamars population being rural which doesn’t make sense

100,000 in one day. This is one city so it’s laughable to say Galgaduud has 93,000 urban population with big cities like Guriceel, Dhusamareb, Cabudwaq, Cadaado, Ceelbuur, Ceeldheer etc

There’s at least 20,000 homes in Guriceel, do the math (usual average number of ppl per household is 7).

South Somalia still in war with Alkabaab, so how numbers will increase?. People will die or move to safe lands.
