Tbh i undrestand why Syrian doctors come to Somalia, easy money i guess but i can't understand why a poor Syrian would ever go to Somalia when there are so many other places were they could theoretically have more opportunities like Egypt or other Arab nations. Somalia is weird choice. Nevertheless I hope they can be helped and i welcome them

We are generous people.
Peace of mind. Syrians are treated like shit in those arab countries, even their fellow neighbours discriminate them heavily. Somalis when it comes to tugsii gives the syrians money and dont trouble them at all. Which is good considering Syrians are the only arab country who treated Somalis very good. The yemenies however apart from Mehri should be beaten up.
Furthermore there’s alot of money to be made in Xamar if ur a immigrant who know any trade. There’s literally bengali and kenyan workers building stuff in Xamar. The Jubba mall had Bengali workers.
I keep seeing mixed reviews of Yemen. Some Somalis i know who lived there said they were treated as locals and overall good , but online I keep hearing mistreatment stories.

Fully depends what part of yemen u live, the mehri people hold Somalis very close to their heart and treat Somalis as family. But you have to realise Yemeni are very different depending on if they shia or what tribe/city they from. Alot of Somalis who went there as refuges has been mistreated. Just google the Al-ahkdam people in yemen they are madows who are treated like modern day slaves.
Have you been to yemen? Have u heard the stories of what they done to Somali women? the refuge camps? how the word ”somal-i” is a slur for many of them? How even yemeni men who married somali women call their kids abeed. How in some cities the Somalis cant even speak their language freely? Some of u Somalis are daydreaming the way Madhibaans are seen in Somalia is how yemenies see u as qashiin. One of the reason im against how welcomed they are in Somalia.
There’s two arabs i despise lybia and yemen. Ask any Somali who been in those countries then ask the ones who been in Syria if you dont wanna take my word

I noticed Syrians unlike Yemenis have a strong work ethic. Even in the North, they're either doctors, dentists, tradesmen or open up businesses.
Yemenis are more or less the Arab version of Somalis. Both khat munching lazy fuckers.

It’s the opposite. Yemenis are the hard working ones. Saudi Arabia and many Gulf countries is build on Yemeni immigrants. These people build skyscrapers from the mountains from way back in time. They used to venture far in the oceans acquiring exotic stuff from Africa and Asia and then bringing it to Arabia so it can be taken to the Mediterranean shores through bypassing the baking hot desert by means of caravans since the ancient times.
Yes now what? also been in Cairo and damascus. Ik it’s hard for some of you too critize modern day arabs but the same way somalis look down on madows and madhibans (their fellow people) is how they view you but 10x lower. There is ”no ana” muslim card in arab countries and tbh if there was we’d treat our fellow 100% somali muslim people good.
One thing alot of people dont get is the gulf of arabia use to be faqiir 50 yrs back and yemen stil are. Brain wise they are stil rer miiyi compared to syrians and egyptians who are alot more rer magal.
Syrians had alot of educated people the country was very developed and beutiful. yemen however a arab speaking muslim country where 1/3 are illiterate. even us Somalis would beat them we can all read arabic. They even say the man who ruled them for 20+ years ali abdullah saleh was illiterate.
When i was in Mogadishu the doctor, dentist was always syrians never yemeni. However the Yemenies seem to take any job, meanwhile the poor syrians would rather tugsii.
