Western governments typically don't expedite drought relief until starving, dying people are broadcast on the evening news...
People who think these governments and NGOs are going to come running w/ help after appeals like this are deluded.
As for other Somalis helping, I doubt much will come from that. Somalis are themselves feeling Somalia-fatigue. Seriously, why does it feel like these droughts and famines are always happening?
God help the Somali people in Awdal. They deserved a government with foresight and planning to prevent situations like this.
