Currently the town is not under SL or controlled by pro SL Dhulo.

The whole area is patrolled by SL. The town that’s a stones throw from it is SL. Reer Buuhoodle were getting massacred it would have been easy to capture the town but at what cost? Every other town we captured a lot of the population showed interest being under SL admin. Reer Buuhoodle never did so we left them alone but after making it clear who runs and patrols the area. Buuhoodle is a border city on the border with Ethiopia.
