I am calling out all the heavy-weights in every Somali clans so do not think I making this a 'majerten show', it's a Somali show as I present my Somali findings.
Somalia economics is purely settled, If we assume $7 billion GDP per year nation wide and I think as Somalis we will. It doesn't matter anyways what over-all the GDP is, as the 'share' of it is going to remain quite 'consistent' so do not think by changing the over-all GDP will effect the 'share' by Region, cause it won't. So let's settle on a $7 billion GDP and work out the industries involved.
That 7 billion is split like this according to industry
1. Agriculture. 60%
2. Services. 30%
3. Industry 10%
This is rough estimate round of no matter what GDP sector by sector you look at. Now let's split the sectors into industries
1. Agriculture is split 40% livestock 20% fishery, charcoal, farming, fishing
2. Service is split by import/export so this is the small-time traders
3. Industry is mainly taken by Comms-Water-Electricity-Money Transfer unless you know of any other industry in Somalia worth mentioning
Population market is 15 million rough estimate. PL controls 9 million of that market thru GM/HS/PL/JL/Eastern SL. JL serves 2 million in Gedo/Jubba area. SL controls Hargeisa servicing and DDSI export.
So let's reserve 60% away for agriculture which is 4.2 million and then reserve a further away which is 1.6 billion while $840 million is fishery-farming-charcoal. How will this will be split is purely market philosophy based on everyone 'market share' by consumption rate. Since puntland owns 9 million market-share here thru pl/gm/eastern sl/makhir/khatumo/hs/gm it's reasonable to allocate 60% of 1.6 billion which is close to a 'billion' just in PL market and economic dependencies.
Then let's break up the 840 million which let's assume 2% of the GDP is fishery that is $150 million right there, so within the agriculture space assign another $150 million into PL is the largest fishery industry, this isn't with a doubt mind you. It's a well established historical industry.
Charcoal is estimated at around $300 million s throw that shit into our JL corridor share from that $840 million. So the remainder is $400 million which is the farming game for servicing the local somalia market, PL share is very 'small' so I won't calculate it at all. See 'cadalad' baan aqana. This will go str8 to the HS boys mainly with JL boys coming close second, because HS taps into large market share in the north without much competition locally.
So now we have the figures for Agriculture split into respectable chunks. PL has 1.6 billion in livestock exports for it's market share of 9 million which correlates to 60% of the livestock market. We have a reasonable share in the remaining $840 million non livestock agriculture with out fishery industry worth at least $150 million and that low estimates and our charcoal game worth $300 million in JL. So we own 50% of non livestock agriculture sector, while the rest is 'farming' which is dominated by JL/HS servicing a large market share. So that's a total of $1.6 billion plus $150 million in PL economic sphere that is $1.7 billion plus add Kismayo charcoal trade of $300 million and seals up our agriculture output to $2 billion just for Majerten hands.
Now Services will get interesting too since this is the import/export game that provide products/goods into the market. It's 30% of the GDP. PL again takes 60% of this shit since it's market profile is 9 million market span. This sector is worth 30% of 7 billion, we playing within a scope of $2.1 billion in service industry. Assign to PL it's 9 million market share that is total of 1.2 billion going thru bosaso port each year and 'transhipped' at Galkacyo to market span of 9 million people.
The remainder is $840 million and my JL profile is 2 million market span so put away JL share here which is 15% of somalia consumer market. So 15% of 840 million is assigned to JL, that's another lofty $126 million in the hands of JL. What is left is for Hargeisa and Mogadishu with Mogadishu market being 1.5-1.8 million people and Hargeisa 800k, it's up to these niggas how they split the remainder though, as me a PL economist, I know care for PL and JL as you naturally would assume. I only work out the calculations deeply if PL hands are involved once my hands are not there, I throw their share at them and wixi hilibka ka soo haray idinku qaybsada.
So the last game is smaller game which is Industry but it made the 'stats' owning 10% of Somalia over-all GDP. The only real industry that exists in Somalia is Comms-Money transfer-Water-Electricity. So this nonsense HAG is rich is impossible since this is only 10% industry of Somalia and worth $700 million a year and that even 'hal qof malaha' waa loo wada fadhiya with Majerten having a far 'larger' slice again as demonstrated.
Money transfer has Dahabshil-Amal splitting it. Dahabshil being larger will get 40% share and Amal 30% and the other transfer companies making up the rest with Majerten and Leelkase involved in Iftin-Tawakal, so u can assume if you combine all the transfer companies, the final ouput is larger then Dahabshil market share of 40% and 60% PL dominated.
Electricity Game. The biggest market is Mogadishu hands down due to it's concentrated population. Blue sky electricity is second largest provider so Majerten want's it's final yearly earning shares in Mogadishu electricity sector this also includes HAGS and is competitive as we fight for this 'cities' electricity market
Water Game - PL has no hand in this industry as of yet in Mogadishu and is purely HAG industry
Comms Market - PL has no hand in mogadishu/south central market share but is dominating in PL market share of 5 million in between PL/Makhir/Khatumo even though there is competition with 'somtel' it has a very 'small' market share that isn't even computable yet.
So even that $700 million industry sector is down to a tight race boy. But I will slide mogadishu it's percentage 2 million market share in water game and 2 million market share in money transfer game. These two games requires sharing with Majerten, i will step away in the comms game for hormud and it's water game in his 2 million market. I am fair I know my 'reach' niyahow and that is down to electricity-money transfer sectors as I want my 'majerten slice' when we determine what each of those industries are worth.
Mind you PL also has water companies-electricity companies in PL but I will take a 'lower' national share since our cities are not as 'concentrated' for water companies/electricity companies to have a large 'slice' but we will still get our 'slice' no matter on national scale. But remember this is a $700 million segment only and it's going to be 'viciously' fought over with Majerten-Hag-Isaaq. Just look at Majerten Golis and his market share of 5 million as that will put a 'nice' dent into that sector for us. Look at Amal nation wide profile and iftin-tawakal combined will give us 'majority' share in this money transfer game, even though we not the largest but when u add up the 3 different amal-iftin-tawakal together, dahabshil is in trouble, his like oh no 'puntland' suuqani yar miyad ii diidan tahay kkkk.
I will accept only slightly smaller share for water-electricity since our cities are not large and concentrated like Mogadishu. But still if u combine Kismayo-Garowe-Galkayo-Bosaso-Qardho we still have a 'nice' sector just not one on one cities is what i mean.
So there u go boys a nice break down following pure economic principles 'production vs market share'. Since there is no variation in purchasing power between each market, it comes down to purely market share by numbers and not so much market share by calculating purchasing power differences since there is none, so the race is to expand to capture as many people and PL has that 60% and JL has the remaining 15%. So 85% is all I will settle for in Somalia wealth. I am in every god damn sector niyahow, this isn't hormuud playing in very small 'market sharre' game kkkk which is still being challenged by Golis-Somtel, we are talking the whole market not just a business or even sector. The only sector I am losing is mogadishu water nothing else, everything else waan fadhiya in money transfer and electricity. Plus gaygi waa ii gaar jl/pl water/electricity.
