Somalia Cannot Satisfy Every Clan. No More Hawiye & Darood Presidents (MY THEORY)

Believe it or not HSM's opposition is tribalist opposition diguised as wadani; we'll get to that solution later. There are many clans and even more subclans. One man representing every sub clan in Somalia would reach a thousand probably. A government has only a few officials it can employ. If one were to try to satisfy the majority, they would realize that indeed Hawiye and Rahanweyn are the majority and the government would be a borderline majority South Somalia government. Darood would be the voice of the loud minority screaming on the daily and the whole parliament would be a tribal showdown. That is why many of my fellow Darood's didn't even care much about the Al Shabab offensive; they only feared Hawiye being strong with weapons. I say this as a person who grew up as a qaxooti because of daroodnimo.

What should we change?

Somalia should have a clean political party system representing political views not tribe.
The candidates of the party along with the chairman of the party shall be from a non-Darood/Hawiye/Raxanwyn tribe.
The parliament shall have a one-man-one vote parliament elections with no 4.5 tribal quota. Abolish the mentioning of tribe in Government space.
The Prime Minister position shall be abolished and we shall have only a Vice President that is also not Hawiye/ Darood or Raxanweyn.

The best solution is that one qabiil cannot control a FMS and have a president or PM.

For example, Abgaal cannot have an FGS president or PM if one of their own controls an FMS.

This means that minority clans will get an opportunity to either lead the country or lead an FMS.

Would you still have the same stance if Deni won the Somali elections back in May? Would you still advocate for maxamuud saleeban, forget MJ, having sole claim to PL presidency whilst also being president? Mind you I agree with you I just want to see if your not being a hypocrite and coming from a tribalistic point of view.

I don’t think we should be president of Hirshabelle. That’s something Farmaajo messed up on. But I don’t think XL should be sole leaders as well. Gughundabe have similar population in Hiraan as XL but it’s just that the latter are more armed and politically represented. Both Hiraan and Middle shabelle have similar population according to reliable UN 2014 population estimate but Hiraan is split and shared.

However being Governor of Banadir is our right as long as this country is being split on 4.5 and that won’t change until 1M1V. I detest the ‘ what’s mine is mine but what’s your is also mine’ mentality

I was advocating for this back when I was backing Deni for the presidency during the election.

I can pull up the posts if you want.

I agree to aspire for political parties free from clan affiliations.
What would the ‘political views’ be centred on? Our politics has always (correct me here) been driven by clan relations even going back to the SYL days. Maybe we can look to Japan.

The only country in the whole Horn of Africa that was successfully able to conduct back to back 1 man 1 vote elections was Somaliland whilst being unrecognised. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Somalia will never be able to do that for the next half a century. It doesn't have the resources and it's absolutely corrupt to the core. Plus even if they tried to vote, all election polling stations would be blown up by AS. Plus Somalia has no legitimacy outside of the Presidential headquarters. Anything outside of that is controlled by terrorists. Somalia is nothing but a meme.

Splitting the state organs across the regions is a good thing. It will be rotated and be checked n balanced and closer to the regions not next to the president who can do as he pleases.. Wat I mean by State organs(federal bank, security, parliament, courts, executive, etc)

If Somalia was invaded tomorrow by a genocidal dictator it would be hawiye and Darood fighting to preserve it.

These minorities would flee unfortunately. So it makes sense to have your country be led by the original Somalis

It really changes nothing Farmaajo was MX and there was no MX in Jubbaland and he still polarized it. We need a dude that isn't from the polarized clans that can bring Somalis together.
