Somalia budget for 2020 rises 18% to $460 Million, debt relief and private investment incoming

2020 will be a momentous year for Somalia as many different pivotal issues will all take place. The offshore oil extraction roadshow will conclude next month which will kick off the return of large resource exploitation in Somalia. Biometric technology has allowed for the armed forces to be accounted for at all times and receive payments without the need for a middle-man. The International Court of Justice has postponed the maritime dispute for the final time and will be concluded in June. Debt clearance will most likely be concluded before that timeline. Education reform is being implemented with our international partners.

As this is the first competent administration since 1991. There is a lot of institutional growing pains that will have to be endured as many criminals have flourished under the lack of governance. However the security situation will continue to improve in all areas as our partners, foremost being the United States have reiterated their commitment in the full backing of the FGS. This will allow for job creation, private sector investment, healthcare, and education to all become focal points once again. The Federal government will continue on its path of consolidating Xasilooni Siyasadeed (Politcal Stability) across the whole nation which will make for a more prosperous tomorrow.
