Somalia biting itself by refusing economic growth, again.

The gov of Somalia needs to get its priorities straight, they need to deal with the problems in Somalia, instead of focusing on denying the Republic of Somaliland economic liberties. Citing bogus claims as "sovereign territory" yet Ethiopia, Kenya, AMISOM and others own Somalia? kkkkkk:ayaanswag:

Somali government is against the military base in berbera not the port itself. Also, Ethiopia is getting 19% of somali port considered to be a daylight robbery.

This clearly shows that these people don't really care about fixing the situation in the South.

The only reason they don't like the deal is because they're not getting a cut.

f*ck Ethiopia. Last I checked Somaliland falls under Somalia. UAE needs to deposit the 19% stake in the Somali central bank

As I've said earlier in a similar thread, and regardless of the semantics of the deal, the berbera port upgrade is vital investment for an unrecognised nation like Somaliland and it may possibly support (directly/indirectly) 10,000s of jobs throughout the country.

Somaliland (and Somalia) urgently needs to diversify their economy as it is too dependant on livestock which as we seen with the damaging drought, isn't sustainable for a country with an overwhelmingly young (over 70% under 30) and growing population.

It's rather sad how The SFG would rather ruin the lives of Somalis that they are trying to get on their side (landers) than help their own countrymen at home.

Jobs and wealth over poverty and decay.

Which government? Which president? Cheese? Shouldn't he be busy rebuilding a country? Or should he be busy resuming policies?

On paper yes, but the leader of the somalia dependency of the AU does not have any authority? that's like giving the deal to the UK before it comes to hargeisa?:ayaanswag:

Its our country and secondly the motion was brought by mps but somehow you managed to blame Faarmaajo for it. But the policy should be clear. No federal State can sign military deals without the approval of federal gov.

Somaliland is not part of the federal gov of Somalia? And that's even under international law, we are an autonomous region so we do whatever the hell we want

Goodluck to puntland!!!
