Very romantic story of a Somali Prince and his Habesha princess.

The son of Ugaas Nuur, who was Ugaas Rooble II married to a female from the royal court of Abyssinia and relative of Lij Yasu saved him from certain death.

She was willing to sacrifice her life for her husband. :it0tdo8:

The Marriage:

The day of rescue (October 1916):
... During this time, Ughaz Robleh Nur was with his lady acquaintance (wife) who was a cousin of the Emperor Lij Yasu in Harar. When the Abyssinian soldiers entered his house, she ordered them to get out. On that day there was a great massacre in Harar...

Nothing is happening in Hawd since Ethiopia doesn't want to upset Somaliland since they need a port. :umad:

The country is headed in the right direction. We will be acquiring nukes soon enough.
Mereja is just 3 people talking to each other all day.

SL needs Ethiopia to use the port more than we need access. Y'all shouldn't really rely on us using the port as our long term goal is to get Eritrea federated back into the fold or to create an inland sea in danakil/Afar. Either way it's a smart medium term move as you will eclipse Somalia in gdp.

I agree with everything you said except for the nuke part. :mjlol:

Did you know that central Somalia has the highest uranium found? It literally contains 1/4 of the worlds uranium.

But how will Ethiopia get Eritrea back? I don't see that happening. :gucciwhat:

We have proven reserves of uranium and are on the process of building the first reactors for energy. We just need to convince the AU that Africa needs nukes in order to protect it's interest (easily doable) then we will proceed with negotiations with the world powers.

Only people who believe in Eritrea are the Tigrinya, the rest don't. Eritrea is also being depopulated as we speak so no worries of resistance.

A canal will also be built in order to create a sea in part of the Afar region.

Acquiring nukes will just get you sanctioned by the world leaders so the best plausible way is to convince the world leaders that you're doing it for civil purposes like Iran for example.

This story appears fabricated.
The Gadabursi had a constitutional monarchy. When Ugaas Roble was decrowned by the Gadabursi. The pretext was that he accepted Xabeeshi land taxes (which the Gadabursi rejected) and that his brother insulted Reer Yonis, the largest constituency within Gadabursi. In turn, the Gadabursi took the crown away from Ugaas Roble and gave it to Sultan Omer Ali Bucul who was Aden Yonis. :westbrookswag: He was a formally educated scholar in Turkey and Egypt, too.

And to think Ugaas Rooble was partly decrowned because of his two timing brother, Elmi Dheere, that was brazen enough to insult Reer Yonis.:what1:

Here's what a guy from Reer Yonis said to him:

Elmiow ninkii kaa gabroon qoloan kuu sheegta een lagu qisaasain hadu qariyo ruuxaaga ma qaraaxad ba lagu dayaa khaawibaad tahayay.

The story is mentioned in the book written by the Qadi of British Somaliland and also in. It's a true story. He was present in the sacking of Harar. And his other wife was Habesha, even though that ticks of @Menelik III .

The Ugaas which is being spoken about is Ugaas Rooble, the son of Ugaas Nuur.

It's very well known story. Read these books:

1. Provinces and Princes, Power and the Eastern Ethiopian Periphery

2. British Policy Towards Ethiopia, 1909 12 ~

3. Ilbaxnimadii Adal iyo Sooyaalkii Soomaliyeed

Actually the Lij Yasu gave away his cousin to the Ugaas. Are you jealous that our Ugases have Habesha wives?
We love Habesha women. We will continue marrying them Insha'Allah.

@Jennifer
This guy is denying love itself. Can you believe him?

:siilaanyolaugh: Huuno, were speaking about the same person, son of Ugaas Nuur. Also, British records are often prone to error and egregious biases. I'm also not fond of double crossing types.

:dabcasar: Keep coonin' to kifto, while the rest of us are holding it down for reerka.
