Somali Tahrib Disaster Needs To Stop

I urge Somalis in the diaspora to stop selling lies and igu sawirs to locals about living in castles, mansions, and Ferraris in the west which is a big lie and is fuelling locals to spend 10k to cross deserts and lawless countries like Yemen and libya and risk their lives in boats not fit for even dogs. The down payment they give to human smugglers could be better used as opening a small shop.

Their is no barwaaqo in the west, you work like a slave, the money you earn is all lost in high cost of living, so if you get 5k month your expenses is 3k or 60 to 70% and 10% is lost in remittance, you end up working like a slave and owning what is essentially a property that is no different to an average property in Somalia. Tell them the truth stop selling lies.

I would prefer earning 500 a month in my ancestoral country with my cost of living being 2 dollars a day then be some Marti in another man land and not really developing any wealth due to how expensive it is.

I really respect Yemenis, Libyans who are in civil war and won't sell out by fleeing their country. I respect the Japanese who got nuked and didn't flee. I have no respect for Shaami ppl in the levant or iraqis who all flee their land and I really do suspect Somalis must be from there as they are the only groups who flee and they share this fleeing your land marker.

Even Rwanda ppl especially Hutu didn't flee anywhere only Tutsi did. What's sad is as u vacate your ancestoral land Oromo are rushing in to do their great migration to re populate and form a majority like they did in dire Dawa.

Honestly the money they used for tahriib could be used to startup ventures in Africa, way more opportunities in countries like Rwanda and EAC than there are in Somalia.

They're paying 5-10k to smugglers when all they need is a $500 trip to Kenya or Rwanda or Uganda and they can build up from there.

The West is undoubtedly entering a stage of complete collapse, the decade of 2010's it was in decline however now it is just pending utter collapse. It is beyond asinine to try and start a living there, however the green will always be greener. The issue also is that there needs to be an alternative advertised, that alternative is of course across the resource-rich SSA. No where is Somalinimo as strong as ventures within SSA, hence our success there, which magnifies the essence Somalinimo (entrepreneurial spirit embedded in us from our nomadic nature to the umbilical bond & support amongst Somali).

I'm in the process of setting up an institution that actually builds on this inshaallah. Its a collaboration between diaspora (with the capital & dream of contributing towards the development o Somalia) and locals (in need of an economic investment & opportunities and are equipped with knowledge of the economy). This, in my opinion, is the most practical method of providing opportunities and thus dissuading tahriib. I know Golis have significant cut funding business ventures & loans across Puntland (apart from Bosaaso) so diaspora investment (rather than the mother of dependency; remittance) is more important now more than ever.

This requires significant due diligence and a decentralised platform so it will definitely take me some time to produce as an institution with different iterations but I hope it will be a fruitful institution and not just circumvent tahriib but also university and the amount of time/money wasted learning theory rather than practice (there are simply way to many graduates now, and that is a result of having way too many universities, university is obsolete both in the West and will soon be in the third world. It does however for now show some level of conscientiousness so could be a useful signalling tool). I have actually met the governor of Puntland State Central Bank (he is Dhulbahante, I'm not sure if Deni has replaced him post-election, I doubt it) and I hope to present this idea to him and gain Puntland State Central Bank's partnership to legitimise the institution.

Yes we need people separated as thinkers and doers which is practising the theory but don't go to wild making everyone into just doers cause if U don't have thinkers U simply cant advance any field of knowledge. Some are also great at serving. Kinda like architects are the thinkers, engineers are the doers, while the service or support ppl who serve the end product completed.

Some are great at advising roles or management or leadership. We need to put ppl where they fit and not have ppl do something they don't have any natural ability as their wasting their time plus everyone else.

We need to determine where they are suitable not put them where their not a right fit. U can see this early on when their kids at school and in private at home, we must then encourage them and reward them where they are naturally gifted rather then make them into something their not fit for, which is a waste of investment.
