USA so finished mass Physcosis event has been occurring for the past 20 years
But on a serious note, can people talk to their families and older Somalis in general about racism and discrimination. I don’t think an elderly man is capable of doing anything but we need to encourage people to start reporting stuff and to deal with this seriously. I do admire how older Somalis remain brave and steadfast even when they’re experiencing awful shit like this. Part of me wishes they wouldn’t respond because they’re dealing with psychos but at the same time I’m glad they did because being perceived as a pushover is bad

I said this in a diff thread but a lot of their cuqdad (ignoring anti-immigrant sentiment, racism & islamophobia) comes from the fact that Somalis are bold and proud people who dgaf what others think. Fobs who moved here yesterday and are still learning english are prideful and don’t care for caadan validation and it annoys them. Caadans do enjoy when minorities look up to them and beg for special status (arabs calling themselves white, AAs trying to connect on the basis of a shared heritage so they can dunk on immigrants like the OP of the tweet, asians and the model minority myth etc) and it irritates them that we don’t. They see our self confidence and are baffled by why we remain this way despite the amount of anti-Somali content they post (constant news reports and pirate movies). They have a weird obsession with breaking people internally/psychologically and it irritates them that we still don’t care.
They are turning everything into a race war it’s scary to see. I hope Somalis in Minnesota stay safe they are a visible minority, and I wouldn’t feel safe in a country where they raised 1mil for a clear-cut racist.
