lol was just lurking and couldn't help but comment on this. I have no idea why the GOP hasn't targeted minorities as part of their voter base, especially Hispanics and the Muslim community. Wouldn't it make sense? I mean Muslims and Hispanics/Latinos align on so many conservative issues with Republicans after all. Securing the Hispanic/Latino vote would be huge for any party, it's one of the reasons why Obama won. Alienating Hispanic/Latinos, Muslims and other minorities, while pandering and posturing to the core GOP voter base won't secure a presidential vote.
Also the GOP has royally fucked themselves in the ass with Trump. They had their chance to denounce him from the party when he was running, but kept him to rally up the core GOP voter base. I don't know, did they think Ted Cruz, Rand Paul or Rubio were going to steal away the spotlight? lol. Anyways, they are learning the hard way now. Their past the point of no return. So much of the GOP voter base is heavily supportive of Trump and feeds off his rhetoric. and it wouldn't make sense from a partisan point of view to let him go. At the same time, this is such a huge hallmary. It could end well but even worse, it could end disastrously and really discredit the whole Republican party. The thing people need to realize is that the Republican party has set themselves up for this situation. They've been spewing similar anti-christian and bigoted rhetoric to their voter base for a long ass time. To put it simply, as I read on a political forum, Donald Trump is making the Republican subtext, text.
I'm just a Canadian viewing this from the outside though.
@menace, what do you think?
Goes back to the shadows to lurk once again.
