What a great decision, May Allah help her and keep her steadfast🙏🏾.

I wholeheartedly wish no somali and matter of fact, no human to be in modeling industry. The amount of abuse, blackmail and trafficking that occurs in that industry is sickening. We should not support any somali in that industry and constantly warn those who are in it.

Women, when observant, are way way more 'religious' than men are. It's really quite admirable how they have the humility to abandon things otherwise desirable in the name of Allah.

Mashallah, a brave step in the right direction. Many Somali women should take after her #voiceoff

May Allah make things easy for her, keep her steadfast and reward her for her decision. It's great she made the decision to leave that industry and prioritise Islam, however I agree with those saying she should've been sensitive/careful with her choice of words considering her platform and reach. We shouldn't play into the negative stereotype of Islam pushed by the media and held by many non-Muslims who don't know any better. We're supposed to be calling people to Islam and representing Islam in the best way, not putting non-Muslims off by affirming their negative beliefs and misconceptions. This is why we should be mindful and deliberate in how we present Islam and ourselves as Muslims because da'wah (inviting people to Islam) is part of our duty/responsibility.

she quit the first cuz her mom threatened that she will cut her off, she has a very strict mother and i bet she threatened again

Yeah

I think Halima really wants to model. Her mother has been threatening and cursing her to stop. I think Halima's relationship with her mother has really fuelled her mental illness.

Halima needs medical help, I really don't think she is well.

She posted the chat she had with ChatGPT on her IG story but I guess she deleted her story. She's 100% going through some sort of religious psychosis because why is she listening to an AI bot made by kaffirs rather than herself or a loved one or an Imam?
Yeah i definitely think something is happening bc why would she make such a big decision using chat gpt seems like she kinda needs help

I think the issue with this statement (from the screenshot posted) is that it endorses the idea that for a Muslim woman, the religous ideal is...just that. Her understanding of Islamic religous enlightenment is to cover her face and not be heard, given this - all else falls short of that 'ideal'. She's entitled to live according to her beliefs but you get why some women/feminists would have a reaction to that.

Once you post anything on the interwebs, someone somewhere will have something to say

This is correct, but there is a dark side to that. Women tend to be "crazier" than men, and can easily go off the deep end. The 70% of the most "fundamentalist" people I know are women, and the rest of Imams and teachers.
