Arab militaries are funded and trained by their respective autocrats to keep domestic populations at bay. They are not built to fight conventional wars nor are they capable of defending their territories.

I hope Somalia works with a country like Finland which has a very good army, combat history and good tactics, they were able to beat Russia twice. It would be good to get a group of soldiers from every area and have them all train together as well. Build trust between everyone instead of everyone just having clan militias.

Yes, Hamzza but Yemenis have always been different than arabs. They have always had a history of conflict while other really didn't and were subjected and didn't fight back until the Westerners helped them. Yemenis fought with Ottomans multiple times way before the Anglos came to Arabia
Should definitely sign a deal with Finland, top notch military and we can even have finnish somalis training the SNA, I know multiple capabable guys who could do this.

I haven’t done it, I got extempt from it due to real medical issues I have (injuries I have gotten). You can also do civil service but that takes 1 year.
All of my friends and my brother have done it. Most do 6 months but a lot do 9 months or 1 year. Vast majority of somalis do 6 months but my friend and couple guys I know have done 1 year.
The military Finland is great, you learn the basics of warfare pretty well in 6 months. The more you do, the more complex it becomes. My friend was leading new arrivals after he done 6 months, he became a corporal.
The military has its bad sides but its overall very good.

Yemenis were always different from other Arabs because they were mostly settled people on the other hand the Bedouins from modern-day Saudi Arabia were feared warriors who had a great appetite for raiding and warfare.
Yemenis were subjected in the past by the Persians, Abyssinians and Europeans, while modern-day Saudi Arabia(most of Arabia) was free from any form of foreign Subjugation.
