Somali elders are not politically conscious

They don’t know much of the politics of where they live, whether Sweden or Britain, but are experts on Somali politics.



They can’t name a domestic MP or state budget, but they know all the sultan, boqor, nabadoon, ugaas etc ,and what money was stolen by who...

In all the cafes they talk Somali politics and what’s latest, even though a racist politician plans to kick them out tomorrow.

I dunno maybe because whites are not so flashy and entertaining, no fights in parliament etc

Hm I kind of rate them for still being very much invested in whatever happens back home though. I don't thinks it's cause of complexity, they probably never felt home here and just didn't bother.
