The first generation need to bring in mentors for these dysfunctional copy-cat fkn kids who do what other ppl r doing in low-socio-economic areas. Im disgusted we rely on our old generation who have no understanding of the culture their children are being brought up in and leading to their kids being dysfunctional hoodlums thinking their parents are out of touch with what they encounter. This is definitely a 'generation issue'.
1. U need to bring in ex criminal mentors so they know about that life and where it leads, this is mandatory or else they will repeat what ppl in low income areas do.
2. A proper youth center they can come too seeking advice or kill time.
3. Education mentors at least in the basics(maths, english, science), we must teach them these topics at least superficially. Get them apples show them how fractions or division is applied. Show them multiplication techniques. Show them early concepts of science being about 'concepts' in the natural world
4. Ask them what they enjoyed as kids as that is probably 'genetic' and provide places for them to hone it. If they like design most fields have a 'design' area too it.
5. Bring in guest speakers for them who have made it in different fields to discuss the field their in and the process they reached it
6. Get them out of single mother homes statistics and show them where 80% of them end up and show them how the youth center can be the 'absent' father for them.
New migrants coming need their own 'center' to quickly adjust to life here, teach them what the law is and what the ppl 'values' are, english lessons, financial management and bill lessons, extract from them what their passion as a child was back home and find a similar outlet once they have adjusted.
Show them parenting techniques so they don't add to the disaster of kids going wrong path who don't connect with their parents, study chinese/indian households on how they manage kids only the positive areas such as schooling, study white ppl homes on how they establish morals and take it to their homes. Even african communities study how they parent especially the 'fun part' and implement that for all somali homes.
Their is a world of knowledge in western cities, just go and ask ppl, sit down with ur partner and review what leads to positive outcomes for kids.
PLS PLS PLS stop marrying ppl if it ending in divorce, these ppl need to know how to select a partner and what marriage means, bring in successful marriages in the community to teach them early on, bring in failed marriages to teach why their marriage failed.
The simple rule I use for partner will always be the same.
1. Physical attraction
2. Personality attraction, u must have meaningful conversations not everyday but U should be able to bounce of your thoughts to her/him and she 'contributes' not 'worships'.
3. Similar life goals(money, career, kids, travelling, or watever ur life goals are)
4. Vet the person(his friends, family, and enemies) u need balanced view point to weigh up their positive/negative. There is no perfect, their is only what u can tolerate to the point their positive outweighs their negative. That's an informed person now and wont go marrying ppl and trial/error
