What is the islamic view on IVF or sperm donations?
The general ruling on IVF is that it is permissible to certain extend but sperm donation is haram
Basically if it's last your hope of have child it is permitted by the ruling of some scholars.

Can you spot the contradiction of your above statements, or you aren't aware what is required in the IVF process?
Either donor eggs or a sperm donor, or both is required for the IVF procedure to create embryos outside of the body and then later implanted into the women's uterus. If "some scholars ruled" and gave permission on the justification for a "hope for a child", why did they rule out the sperm donation and accepted the donor eggs since it's not coming from the mother? What are the differences?
Anything that doesn't coming from the husband and wife is haram. Yet you acting like said egg donation from other women is permissible. Think clear before you throw word contradiction around. you're grasping at straws

How did you come to this conclusion? If IVF requires donated eggs and sperm, what are the scholars permitting?
With the advent of technology, i think the Islamic ruling can be muddy. Its like the Laws of Nation trying to keep up with Internet and Technologies laws.
But at the very basic, we r supposed to Pray to Allaah swt for children, and if we dont have them, then that is Allaah's swt will.
Remember Prophet Ibrahim and his wife, Prophet Zachariya and his wife both had children in old age after praying to Allaah swt.
In my opinion sperm implants is haraams if it does not belong to both husband and wife

There used to be an Imam here who used to preach blood and organ donations are haram and finally he became desperately in need for both and got them, kafir heart and blood.
That is between this imaam and his God. We r to follow the rules for our own sake not for the sake of our Islamic Leaders
I think donation of organs is ok. Organs are just mechanic components, not a life like sake someone else's sperms or eggs.
One Sheikh once told me about organ donation.
Say you get the donation organ? Then what? U think u r not going to die? We will all die, today or tomorrow.

Sxb, you started with “some scholars” consensus is IVF is permissible and when I pointed to you that the IVF requires a donated egg or sperm donation, or both, then you turned around and concluded it’s both haram. Can you spot the confusion and contradiction of your statements. It isn’t a crime to admit a mistake.
do you even know how IVF treatment works? because at this point it seems that you don't have idea how IVF works. for IVF to be perform you need egg and sperm cell from people who are married in this case it is halal or donation from male or female who isn't your spouse which haram.
advice from man to man familiarize yourself with topic you want discuss before making point about it.

The overwhelming majority of these cases require sperm or egg donations and most importantly, you guys consider an embryo is a “living thing” and not only was this “living” embryo created by science, it was also “unnaturally” created outside the body of a human being and in a glass. The IVF program is the antithesis of creationism. Let’s not play with semantics.
