Since I’ve been on SSpot, a lot of users have tried to gauge my political/social opinions.

Some users resort to using out of context posts to claim I support one thing or another. This leads to users forming a distorted image…

Let me put that to rest. Feel free to ask me about any of my opinions on this thread and I will give you my honest thoughts.

Wallahi I will be completely honest and if I cannot answer it, I will say so.

Do you support Somali federalism or are you against it?

I support federalism as how it is practiced in Australia, US etc.

I do not think that the current model of federalism in Somalia is actually sustainable and will in fact bring inevitable collapse.

I agree with you, our form of federalism is very fragile.

Your opinion on democracy? Do you think democracy is compatible with Islamic society?

I believe that the people electing a leader is not only compatible with Islam, but Islamic.

Abu Bakr (RA) was chosen as the first Khalifa through a meeting of the Sahaba.

Therefore, Muslims should meet and choose their leaders.

Edit: I am not talking about the entire practice of democracy but the ability to choose your leader.
