The century of humiliation, also known as the hundred years of national humiliation, is the term used in China to describe the period of intervention and subjugation of the Chinese Empire and the Republic of China by Western powers, Russia and Japan in between 1839 and 1949.[1]

The Nanjing massacre consisted of the mass rape and murder of approximately 300,000 Chinese civilians and wholesale destruction of the city. To add insult to injury, the Japanese then made e city of Nanjing the capital of their puppet government in China. Decades later the Chinese civilians were still suffering from the aftermath and relations with Japan are still strained to this day.


This is why Japan so desperately clutches on to the thighs of the US. They know they’ll get abused 10 times worse than they abused China, and it’s only a matter of time.

Japan with its 5 trillion dollar economy and it's cultural exports of anime, manga, etc will never be invaded by China. America and NATO will protect them forever. Plus with their ingenuity, if America did leave them, they'd develop ballistic nuclear warheads designed to keep the Chinese in check. Invade and Beijing and Shanghai become toast. I don't know.
On one hand, I admire China and Japan's histories. They have had one of the longest histories on Earth, with one of the most sophisticated cultures. They are known to have faced and survived heavy casualties. China's resilience in the 19th and early/mid 20th centuries shown us how dedicated and energetic the Chinese were, all thanks to MAO's policies and the cheer will of the People.
But, they had to sacrifice millions of lives to come where they are now. 20 million have died of MAO's Reforms, millions of Japanese workers were forced to work like donkeys in factories and farmlands (during the Meiji Period).
Are we ready to compromise comfort for the sake of our country?
Many Somalis, back home, work like donkeys, but we are too corrupted. Many of my family members, including my parents, had to work like crazy to earn a little money.
Back home is too corrupted, people are vile and tribalistic to the extreme.

Though I only appreciate doing things by myself, I would just suggest we take these populations, these cultures, as inspirations to work harder. But, never to get colonized again! It's shameful to ask, but more dignifying to work and take inspiration from others.


Hopefully, we will meet satisfying levels of development.

Also Japan can’t make a nuclear warhead on the fly and send it to China, even if they did make it those nukes would be intercepted immediately before it reaches anywhere near Shanghai or Beijing.

The US themselves are already too afraid to mess with China which is why China has free reign over south east asia. If the nato and the US could keep china in check they wouldn’t give VETO power to China in the UN despite all its blatant warcrimes and tyranny in the east.

Nah Europe seriously got insane amount of handouts from U.S AID also tons of trade deals to help there economy. America literally held there hands so that they wouldn’t slaughter each other again in the 50’s and 60’s.

America would never have invested in Africa the way they invested in Europe, Japan, and Korea due to prejudice against blacks. The size of Africa hurts them as well as the extreme geography. If america wanted to invest in Africa it’s best bet would be west Africa. Proximity to Europe and america on the Atlantic helps them.
