I had high hopes of Somalia/Somaliweyne being an Industrialist nation. I learned about my resources and how prosperous my nation can be. I dreamt about us building every industry. Also learned about my history, how we had been carved up, and how they destined us to lose. I learned about the politics, and foreign meddling and figured wow this goes deep but still wondered why can’t we just settle our grievances and eradicate the terrorists. I went through the phase of blaming past leaders for us becoming a failed state. Still optimistic thinking change is possible, I compared government structures and which is suitable for my people. Stumbled upon the Dirty politics and business schemes, after being let down again & again. I told myself F Somalia & just focused on my people (Tribe) still knowing they also finesse but I’d rather choose the “lesser evil” and have mine eat. I stumbled upon this site & found out about FKD and realized Somalis are just a bunch of cuqdaad-ridden folks going through a dilemma.
Is this journey unique to me, or have you too experienced a similar reality?

I've stopped blaming our leaders, I blame the people now. We deserve the leaders we get.
