She was young and naive and probably didn't think of the consequences or wasn't fully equipped with knowledge at that time. Who are we to judge? what if she repented and so on. She should be given another chance. Allah forgives. She should be allowed to come to the UK. But is best if she remains in a muslim country to safeguard her deen.

15 year old or not joining that evil organization shouldn't have even come to her mind even a 12 year old should know the consequences. She even took off the hijab thinking it would absolve her, this dumb had it coming in every sense of the world. Zero sympathy from me. Maybe dont join a world infamous terror group πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

She was teenager who was brainwashed by Canadian secret agent.
Yes, I was also a teenager once upon a time, but somehow I managed to avoid brainwashing. Especially from a Canadian!

Whether she was brainwashed or not isn't relevant here; what's more interesting is that there're other British citizens held in the same camp, but haven't had their citizenships revoked.

Her case obviously got public scrutiny due to being the center of media attention for years unlike others in similar fate, which some argue may have affected the final verdict. In any case, the British supreme court is essentially arguing that she's a 'dual' national of the basis of her parents hailing from Bangladesh. But she never applied for citizenship, as required, and therefore never became a Bangladeshi citizen.

I don't support her, but this will set a dangerous precedent in which you can be rendered stateless, against British laws, as well as contrary to international laws. Not to mention, the unambiguous evidence against the verdict.

If the UK are honest about revoking citizenships of former D*esh members, then apply the same policy to everyone or scrap altogether. And extend to mercenaries enlisted in IDF, who're currently engaged in g*nocidal war crimes in Gaza.

You and so many, but children aren't mature enough to have a foresight to what consequences may came from their actions

Yeah this is a horrible, horrible, precedent

Theres plenty of ethnic brits and foreigners with british citizenship that went through the uk legal system and are in jail in the uk

The fact that the uk is xooging her being a bengali citizen, when she was born and raised in the uk and never recieved bengali citizenship, on a technicality in bengali citizenship law is clearly to send a message

If you dont have british abtiirsi in the uk, we reserve the right to rescind your citizenship

Point blank. The rest is smoke. What would they have done if she was ethnically brit (is that shit even real? An ethnic brit) thats scary but better to see it clearly today than not know

Worth noting that the technicality that the uk is exploiting in bengal law is common in other countries, incl somalia. Its one of the things hsm was weakening with the proposed constitution

If she went Israel to kill Palestinian babies, she'd not only be welcomed back to UK but also given a standing ovation, flowers and a red carpet.
