We cant rely on rules that our made 1400 years ago dawg. Secular is the only way to become a great nation but cool
These dudes live in a different reality secularism is the way if it wasn't most of the top economies in the world that are secular would failwhile typing this in a secular country View attachment 193593
There can be no democracy if you have Sharia.
What is Sharia ? Sharia is a set of rules which are imposed by the government.
Democracy is the ability to change the laws of a country because the majority wants it. But if you have Sharia laws then you cannot change the laws, therefore there is contradiction.
Sharia and democracy cannot go hand in hand, unless you want to give the citizens the ability to change the laws by voting for laws only if they are not opposed Sharia laws, but then it's a flawed democracy.
Honestly, I don't see why people here hate secularism so much when most of us benefit from it.
Giving freedom of speech and religion to everyone is just common sense.
You just need to look at the world today to see that the secular system produces a better standard of living, creates more scientists, doctors, engineers etc...
somalia has the choice between a democracy with 4.5 (concept of 4.5 was only stopped through the gun from 69-91) like lebanon but no large scale development due to sectarianism. or large scale gradual development under a dictatorship. this is something liberal idealists cannot understand.I was just stating observations.
Somalia does not need secularism but it needs democracy.
Because the infighting that happened for 20 years cannot be resolved with a dictatorship, it will make the next rebellion even worse. What Somalis need in the meantime is to have a system that they can control through the ballot box.
After people have forgotten the war and trust one another again, then people can debate other forms of governance.

somali populace is dumb. there is no way to dispute that. you have to be double nacas to give them the same rights as qualified officials. most somalis are too dumb to rule. xoolo. if siad barre never existed the pro western government would have been overthrown in a coup anyway. a former colony in political strife that uses the same political and economic system as its colonizer while simultaneously being bent over backwards by its colonizer? there would have been radical change.I believe that the Somali democracy in the 1960's would have eventually turned out okay.
Obviously in its first few years it was shaky but after maybe 20 years, it would have become a stable democracy.
Our neighbor Kenya were having sectarian tit-fot-tats when Somalia was progressing as a democracy. Now, the difference could not be clearer.
This Ideology has caused so much bloodshed in our lands from MSB and his secular Kacaan leveling Hargeisa to the ground to different secular rebel groups wrecking havoc to the foreign secular soldiers occupying Somalia today. Nothing as dangerous as this terrorist Ideology in Somalia.
Some Somalis have been radicalised by the mass media and actually believe in this godless ideology. So how can we do reverse brainwash on the miskiin public who was brainwashed. I believe we have to control the social media like the chinese government and have our own YouTube,WhatsApp and other apps.

Why is theocracy = dhulm?@JalleGeesi yes secularism is absolutely unacceptable for us Muslims but you do realise that theocracy is also unacceptable, Islam prohibits oppression (dhulm) and demands rulers be accountable for their actions in power.
Unelected clerics ruling a society is a big no no
the middle east horn of africa pakistan are too close to islamic heartlands to be secular. secularism will fail the people are too religious. lebanon is different and turkey was secularized by attaturk (who ruled as dictator). Why is theocracy = dhulm?
