I don’t get the people who complain about Somalia being an oppressive place for women, it’s a post-war country, what do you expect??? Rape and inequality between the sexes was unheard of when somalia was a strong country under Jalle Siad, and will be once again inshallah when we are secure again. We Somali women should be grateful that our culture is tolerant and grants us many freedoms, which is rare in other Islamic cultures globally. Thank God I was born Somali otherwise I would’ve ve married my cousin by now or stoned for simply going to a concert.
