If there’s one country that has the money and political stability to fund a project like this it’s Saudi Arabia. Hope we get to see it in our life time

This is a total crap! Lacks the most basic urban planning element which is the freedom of movement and the feeling of not being confiscated in one place. They said millions of people living side by side for hundred kms? How would they move in and out? Lol, building an underground city would be a more realistic idea.

I feel this gonna be a massive failure
All research on this are saying it is an engineering and economic failure. The glass will cost hundreds of billions instead of using wood or concrete he chose glass. Why? Since glass are just open oven in areas like, so why? Because it is shiny. MBS wants any accomplishment. Desperately wants one, he failed in many things, and this will next

It has high speed rail and everything you need will be near each cubicle.

But it all looks so depressing and like some dystopia because everything around the line will be a waste land. So you’re stuck inside

This project oozes of retardation and poor decision making. I feel like dadkaan have purged all the intellectuals from the ranks of decision makers. It seems all the guys pulling the strings in that kingdom are the super wealthy who are detached from reality.

Isn't the revenue from Mecca and medina not enough?
