@Tropical Breeze guul and ur our historical region it's like our ancient greece, archaelogy field should be in makhir both 'ocean and land'. I suspect their alot of treasures in 'badda cas' especially monsoon coordinates as this wud cause ships to 'drown' from ancient egypt-romans-greeks-arabs-turks-brits, the ocean around 'gardafu' must be the biggest 'treasure island' hotspot. It's one of my goals when im elderly to establish a 'base' in murcanyo and bring marine archaelogist to assist with exploration.

definitely need an excavation around Sanaag mountains , they found ancient South Arabian script in Cape Gardafui I'd bet Sanaag and Bari are full of ancient archaeological artifacts waiting we've yet to discover
We should we're expanding the university with 3 more faculties History is an underrated major in Somalia that we need to invest in.
It wud be ur 'boom' industry as all Somalis and all humans love history and u can set up so many musuems after they have camping trips in calmadow for somalis n tourists, the road is in progress which is a big obstacle first(access)
@Tropical Breeze when u restore the city states that eraytheran document mentions, u will need to calculate the sea-line if it has gone further out or inland as it may be under the ocean if the shore-line has been expanding in-land. If it hasn't expanded, then u need to 'dig' lower layers of the earth and predict how many layers is 2000 years. Makhir gold, calmadow camping tourism, plus historical arts and musuems from different eras, history expertise(with all somalis coming there to contribute) will make it a hot spot in somalia.
If u can add STEM expertise which is certified, u will be collecting so much in student trade not just somalia but africa, which lead to construction boom to house all these students, tourists, etc.

Its difficult to access Calmadow at the moment rain has destroyed much of the upper portion roads , we need to fix Geeldoora road unfortunately it would cost more than Ceel Daahir Ceerigaabo
Infinite potential in Sanaag
If we had the money and resources i want to reroute the water falls into a single stream river and make them flow from from Calmadow to the Xadeed plateau. There are over a dozen all year round falls in Calmadow i believe.
@Tropical Breeze our land has a rich n long history and it's up to us to TELL it's story thru excavations using historical sea-lane from ancient greece eryatharean sea. I believe this is the land of punt becuz all the conditions are here only nowhere is frankincense knowledge known. The 'togs' prove this land was fertile and hosted lots of wild life to support the trade depictions in ancient egypt.

Gardafu boys are doing a 'dirt' track thru the mountains that is smooth but unpaved. I think it was called 'lafa goray' is that an option after el-dahir-erigavo road?

We already have it, i personally would like an asphalt road up until Ragaad at the very least
Can u tell your boys in sanaag 'gold' or any mineral is 'defensive' asset not a 'trade' item. It's used in govt reserves as 'defence' if everything in their market becomes worthless becuz it has the longest 'life' in terms of it's value from 5000 years till now. But it's trade value is 'weak' when markets are mature with other goods, u pull these babies out when the market has collapsed and use the metals to 'purchase' as much as u can as it becomes the hottest commodity. That's the strategy. Even Somalis wud do this 'sanduq' of women jewellery and gold for 'rainy' days.
We have no currency to reserve, I personally want us to use what we export to build up Milxo into a city. Its already urbanizing, with what the miners have earned.
Find out the unprocessed value vs processed value vs market value at least and the difference and the chain of value adding and where your miners sit in it. Gold is public listed 'exchange rate' once processed and in the market, it's going to be the same worldwide. Plus the 'growth' is 'low' like property. It's low n steady always so u need 'time multiplier' to gain much.
It's due to the pressures of the market being robust n strong, once it's dead or collapse, everyone will want 'gold' cause everything else becomes useless, that's why I said storage is the best defense posture to take with it rather then 'trade' especially in this market. Maybe tell PL govt bank to print currency and u guys will 'insure it' with gold. At least dont put ur eggs in all one basket, used a 'mix approaach'...40% storage, 60% trade, why rush into 1 direction with no backup.
