Kurdish girl and other Asian girls can't speak without getting honour killed. The fact that Somali women can even speak about it, shows that Somalis are very progressive in many ways.
The issue is, they need to choose the right platforms to speak on.

True, my point is, Somali scholars go to Arab countries to learn the deen, they come back to Somalia using Arab slang, wearing Arab cultural garments. Funnily enough, these same scholars are holding onto pagan vagina mutilation of their ancestors.

Honestly there should be an offical qualification to preach the deen. Same way you would need a qualification to teach psychology or become a doctor.

Somali females have a bad habit of talking about their siil when they make it and in this case you have a woman talking about her mothers siil . Egypt and Gambia have high female circumcision rate yet you donβt hear their women mentioning their siils. They are trynna make female circumcision synonymous with Somalis same as how the word refugee was back in the day. Every story about a somali had the word refugee or asylum seeker attached to it.
