Places like Mariopul, crimea, and some other eastern areas are essentially part of Russia now. Very little chance Ukraine will retake any of those areas.
The weird thing is Ukraine president had peace conference where he didn’t even call Russia

If the Russian military was better and not relying on conscripted convicts, the war would’ve ended a year ago. Typical dictator Putin surrounds himself with incompetent people to keep control. Lucky he has nukes otherwise Russia would’ve already been “liberated”
Is Russia losing?? I've seen a lot of crazy drone footage from the Ukrainians this month and it seems like they're winning.

They launched a fake assault in the north which was blunted. Right now there’s a stalemate. If Europe and USA get more right wing leaders, Ukraine is done. If not, status quo.
Believe it or not Russian population was on decline for long time. They basically don’t have enough young men to enlist into the army not like Ukraine is in better situation. This is why there is huge foreigner mercenaries fighting with Russian army.

I know about the population decline. But that doesn’t explain why they’re sending in human wave attacks and losing hundreds of thousands of men.
It also doesn’t explain why a lot of their weapons are either outdated or their personnel just don’t know how to use them. Incompetence features heavily within the Russian military. And that is due to corruption. They’re literally hoarding supplies meant for troops and selling them lmao.
While corruption and ineptitude is bad for the Russian military and people, it allows Putin to remain in power. His military leaders and advisors have been vetted for personal corruption and incompetence so that they won’t challenge Putin.
Putin doesn’t mind corruption and incompetence as long as they don’t focus on him. This idiot prigozhin said some dumb shit in his “March to Moscow” and end up dying in a plane crash. He had it well before he did that and Putin didn’t care.
Putin’s mindset is prevalent among all dictators. A weak and corrupt but obedient military is better for them than a well trained and equipped military that would serve the people.
Stalin himself didn’t like competent military staff. Commitment to the cause was more important to him than tactical prowess on the battlefield.
Not to bring Somalia into this but the current president is begging ATMIS to stay because he trusts them to keep him in power. He can’t have qualified and well trained national troops because he can’t control them. What’s good for the people is NOT good for him.

To be frank with you I don’t believe what the west say about Russia army or even Russian media about Ukraine army. There is huge propaganda from both side and I don’t really know exactly who to believe.

Both sides exaggerate the losses of the other side. So I go by what each side accepts as their losses. Russia has already said they lost at least 50,000, with the real number expected to be much higher.
