Yeah riots just cause unnecessary death to civilians.
The only way to make change is to attack the government itself. Not burn down shops in some ghetto neighbourhood where only the poor and middle class would live. The rich and upper classes do not ever have to see a riot in their ends so they don't care.

Racism and bigotry is systemic in France, you cannot actively restrict the civic freedoms of 20-25% of the population and not expect anything but a deep resentment and hatred of everything french. This crisis, however, can bring about radical change, the french government can expand the definition of what it means to be a french citizen and make a genuine effort in integrating those disenfranchised and deprived of even the most basic public services; those with a stake in society do not attempt to destroy it, but rather work to preserve, improve and contribute to it.

exactly, the french government imports a ton of third world young men and then give them shit jobs and practically segregate them from the ethnic French. They will burn down the slums they live in even if it hurts them simply because of their anger towards France.
