Returning Somaliland students meet the President

Somaliland students returning from prestigious international institutions meet the President to discuss where their knowledge and skills could best be used, and how they can contribute to Somaliland's development.

Some of these students studied engineering at MIT, some studied economics at Cambridge, others studied agriculture, medicine, pharmacology... etc, all at top international institutions. This is going to be transformative for Somaliland. Returning students from world-class institutions will make a huge impact on the country.

Others dont have a single local student in these international institutions, Somaliland has hundreds.

The future is bright :banderas:

Good news there should be a clause that they should return for a period to work if they graduate from institutions that allowed them to get scholarships.

This is why Abaarso is so great, all of them are taught from a young age that they are given this opportunity to become the next leaders of Somaliland. The vast majority return straight away, others who have scholarships for post-graduate studies or internships finish them and then return.

A few of the returning students had to take additional time away from the country to finish postgraduate studies, but they have returned now.

Its a fantastic system.
