Hey,

My Dutch friend has to write a small report about a conflict that is currently happening in chosen (foreign) country.
She told me that she immediately thought of Somalia cause obviously im Somali, and I said sure since theres alot going on atm
But my question is, whats an interesting conflict to talk about? Personally I thought about Somalia & Somaliland, but i would appreciate other suggestions

Somalia is quite irrelevant to dutch people to be fair, most only know about it's piracy and famine since there are other conflicted "hellholes" that are more popular. Her friend most likely choose Somalia because OP being somali and having interest in her friends background so no need to be negative @Noraaa Misschien kan je onderzoek doen aan het droogte in Somalië?

Tell her to write about how Mexico ended 2021 with around 40,000 homicides, Mexico had more homicides in 1 year than the Middle East+North Africa had combined war deaths+Homicides in 3 years from 2019-21.

I would recommend any conflicts in the south of Somalia. The conflicts have larger information available online. She will find more resources.

Je hebt inderdaad wel gelijk. Ik ben zelf best wel nationalistisch dus al mijn Nederlandse vrienden weten vrij wel wat over Somalië Ik had zelf niet over de droogte in Somalië nagedacht als conflict, maar wel een goed idee
