Bunch of Bantus who absorbed bunch of somalis long time ago during the Bantu expansion. They are labelled xabash rejects. The relation ends there.

Several studies have already been done on them and all came back conclusively that they are 0% Niger-Congo/Bantu (Tishkoff et al., Castri et al., Hirbo et al.). Don't be a foolish hater because of their more ''African'' appearance. It does not have to do with Bantu origins, but with Nilotic affinities.

The Rendille interact a lot with the Samburu tribe who are Nilo-Saharans, but still the vast majority of their ancestry is Lowland East Cushitic with only a smidgen of more Nilotic relative to Somalis.

Studies with Rendille samples:

@Waranle, if I showed you Rendille without their tribal clothes you would not be able to differentiate them from Somalis. Go to facebook and look up the Rendille groups, without their tribal clothes they actually look more Somali.

Well the Books say they descended from somali clans and where assimilated an absorbed by the Nilotic Samaburu people.

No offence but when i say bantu i just mean non horner.

The remaining six clans that are excluded from the moiety consist of mixed individuals. Five of those clans are of Rendille (Cushitic) and Samburu (Nilotic) descent. Collectively, the latter hybrid groups are referred to as the Ariaal or Southern Rendille.Some Rendille intermarried with Samburu, evolving into the distinctive mixed group of Ariaal

Autosomal DNA
The Rendille's autosomal DNA has been examined in a comprehensive study by Tishkoff et al. (2009) on the genetic affiliations of various populations in Africa. According to the researchers, the Rendille showed significant Afro-Asiatic affinities. They also shared some ties with neighboring Nilo-Saharan and Bantu speakers in the Great Lakes region due to considerable genetic exchanges with these communities over the past 5000 or so years

Pretty much why 50% look very puseudo Somali.

@Waranle

Here are a couple of Rendille dressed in modern clothing. A lot of these fuckers look pretty typical Somali to me:

They are definitely not a Bantu population. Clearly Cushitic or Nilo-Cushitic.

@Amun Are you sure these are not Oromo Kenyans or mixed ones? They look very Xabashi/Oromo rather than somali. Nothing like the pictures ive seen online.

Nope. All confirmed Rendille which I got from facebook. A lot of them I'd say 60% to 70% can pass unnoticed as Oromo or Somali. Just the remaining third of them look kinda of exotic/different.

PS. They have 10% haplogroup T1a and 50% E1b1b-V32, there's definitely a link they have with Somalis.
