Rendille language

Somalic languages are interesting. For instance, Af Maay is a different dialect to Maxaa tiri, but it sounds completely different. It sounds Oromo, rather than Somalis. Then you have Rendille, a Somalic/Macro-Somali language which sounds even more foreign. It makes you think if Cushitic is super old compared to other language families.

Yeah, the are not many rendille Christians, most worship waaq
Their language is probably 50% or so similar to Somali. The non-Niolitic admixed ones like a looot like Somali's as well.
Fun fact: they refer to Muslims. as Somali. I was watching a video on youtube a while ago and they were casually talking amongst themselves about us (at a wedding, I think). I couldn't quite understand what they were saying tho. Wish I could.

I only watched a min of the first video and I recognized some common words with his singing and the lyrics. He said walal, walash, and support in Somali, 'gargar'.
Fascinating how religion just spreads. They had to reiterate in the gospel song that this new 'Lord' surpasses all others. You'd think Gods are less exchangeable.
