I somewhat agree but sometimes it’s hard to distinguish whether religion is the curse or the people who preach/practice it.

People fight over land, power or resources.. they might organize along religious, clan or ethnic lines but the primary motivations are the same. The absence of religion wouldn’t end war

you’ve got internal factors (culture, tribalism and etc) and external factors (religion) which caused destabilisation in Somalia. The Khawarij mainly just kill other muslims. They've deviated from the correct understanding of Islam. They're the first ones to make takfir on other Muslims based on sins, without their right and cause bloodshed among other Muslims

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever purposely throws himself from a mountain and kills himself, will be in the (Hell) Fire falling down into it and abiding therein perpetually forever; and whoever drinks poison and kills himself with it, he will be carrying his poison in his hand and drinking it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever; and whoever kills himself with an iron weapon, will be carrying that weapon in his hand and stabbing his `Abdomen with it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever."

Their understanding of right and wrong is completely different. They're brainwashed. And those who join fall victim to that same brainwashing, too.

Somaliland had 107 annual murders and puntland had 58 for a population of 6.2 million and 4.3 million in 2021 recorded by their national police. That's extremely low that's a homicide rate of 1.7 and 1.2 per 100.000.

Interpersonal violence is extremely low amongst Somalis. But look at Ethiopia holy cow 25. per 100.000 and Sudan 24.0. Somalia trend similarly to Morocco , Algeria , Tunisia etc basically Northern African countries who are in the same range with.

The violence people often associate with religion like terrorism or wars is usually political or geopolitical in nature. im not specifically targeting Islam but also Christianity and Judaism and since the fact that these three religions are contradicting themselves especially The Holy Bible
