when you constantly remind yourself that life is a test, everything that happens to you would have never missed you, being truly satisfied in this dunya is impossible, and every obstacle and hardship you go through is either an expiation of sin or a raise in rank, life becomes more bearable because their is much better to look forward to
As a general rule of thumb, Muslims significantly dwarf non-Muslims in religiousity and socially conservative lifestyle & worldview, even at similar HDI and income levels. It's also better at combating social ills like substance abuse. This often translates into a fertility advantage across many countries.
