We don't have a Somali wide consensus.word for humanity or mankind. Most of them were drinking it long before 91. They learned of it while studying abroad in eastern block countries in the 60s-80s which is what our hunger-gatherer friend @Riftvalley is alluding too.

I read somewhere that it was a staple of the USC leadership and they would openly drink it in the presence of their family and journalists during those days.
