Somalis have a good understanding of zina, hookup culture, and how to stay away from many other degenerate haram things. However, rape in the Somali community is conflated with sexual pleasures. A rapists can be given pills in jail that make him sexually unattracted to anyone but he will still go on to rape. Why do you think soldiers rape prisoners of war be it male prisoners or female prisoners? Yet we still believe that any man can be tempted to raping women if they feel sexually aroused. This has been proven to be false and not a matter of temptation. In fact many rapists rape for control. Young boys are the biggest victims of rapists because rapists are also potential pedophiles both wanting to feel dominance over an autonomous human being. Yes Hijab prevents zina; not the rapist madow incel garac at the bus stop. He will keep stalking your sisters trying to corner them at a dead end. Hijab doesn't prevent the Cadaan odey sex offender that will give candy to your little sisters to lure them in to his trap. Even old habar teachers have been caught molesting little boys. Rape/ sexual assault happens because evil minded people want to excerpt influence and control. Unfortunately our people don't understand it to the extent that they marry of their daughters to their rapists. A rapist does not love your daughter nor is he attracted to her. He just wanted to control her and use her for sex. Control is the pleasure. Remember that little boys are also their victims. I'll say it again. This thread was emotional for me to make because I know of a couple religious Hijabi girls who allegedly committed suicide because of it. Not a single one of them stepped up to join the me-too movement which was currupt and politically motivated but they had nowhere to go. To the community they would be labeled as "cheap and clean" "used and abused" "ciyaal suuq" and many other cliché insults used for sinners not victims. I know brothers that were falsely accused but at least they were not raped and judged worse.

My solution is to give your sisters rides at nights and early mornings. Tell them to be alert and act like they're on their phones. Guy friends should be a no no.

This is a very good thread and i believe the only way to prevent rapist is to bring fear into their souls through capital punishment or castration. Make a example of it so all sickos can fear getting caught.

A rapist cannot be reasoned with because then they wouldn't rape you have to show these people the only thing they listen to which is force.

yea in this scenario, rape is an occupational hazard of being in mens prison; i.e if you arent tough enough, take a loan and don't pay back on time etc

What arousal do rapists get when they go to jail and rape other men? They literrally would do khaniisnimo for dominance. Take the man a way and they'd do it with goats. Rapists are people who lack empathy and yes they might have arousals like us but that isn't their motivation.

El Salvador's President is rounding them all up in jail. Rape and other crimes are at an all-time low now. Girls their are literally all qaawan but the fear of life in jail and losing control of your freedom is much worse for them.

Alx, I have never experienced sexual trauma but I have been harassed like other women have. Oddly, mostly by strangers or people I barely knew.
