What’s the point of skin lightening Cream if it ain’t permanent ? (in other words it isn’t going to stay like that rather it will eventually go back to your original. )

My family was talking about another family who whiten their skin using skin lighting cream but my sister told me that shit ain’t permanent unless if you stay away from the sun light (go colder places). So what’s really the point if you’re going to go back to your original skin eventually?

I mostly read about mercury poisoning caused by environmental pollution. The persistant properties allows mercury to be passed down generation to generation in marine mammals like seals.

I'm assuming the same principle applys to humans, considering the concentration of mercury in bleaching creams is not high enough to be lethal. I could be wrong tho..

I assume anything with the use of terms such as, lightening or bleaching is bad news. It probably will cause discolouration and other health issues.
