People who live in wealth cannot appreciate the struggle of poor people unless it is conveyed in a culturally appropriate medium. It has to be distasteful in a tasteful and artistically revealing way. It has to be tragically gratifying. They fall in love with the analogy, a drama. This functions to put further distance.
