According to a reliable source one of Farmaajos plans if he was voted in for another to term was to increase the national army to 200,000 and eventually to a million. The current national army is about 80,000 even though the UN said that if the army goes above 18,000 they will cut money they give to the government. This did not stop Farmaajo from increasing the national army. This is one of the things i actually respect about Farmaajo. However Hassan sheikh is of the opinion that Somalia is not in need of a strong national army and wishes to decrease it. The people who voted for him made a grave error

Organizing a group of somalis to do a large scale military parade is impossible. There is more chance of the sun exploding than a drove of somalis executing a perfectly synchronized march. The natural hard headedness of the somali and the lack of listening to instructions is a recipe for failure.
