Question to Somalilanders

For the brothers & sisters that identify as "landers" are you proud of your democracy? Or a better question, do you support democracy in general?

I'll bite. Super proud of our achievements so far in building a solid foundation for a democratic nation. Delivering the only peaceful, independent elections to happen in the Somali peninsula in the last 55 years cannot be understated in terms of the remarkable achievement it is. To do that now regularly for nearly 20 years demonstrates that it is an enduring achievement.

No Lander thinks we have anywhere near the kind of democracy we all want, but it has been a tremendous success to get where we are.

I won't question the democracy for now, but what're your thoughts on rumors of corruption in Somaliland's government? Also, it's not common to see many landers here on this site.
