It’s a seinen manga. The story is about a 29 year old half Somali/creole college dropout that gets accidentally enlisted into a special dhaqan celis in order to become a saint. The central themes are
Redemption
Honour (Sharaf)
Kinship
Modesty (Xishood)
Entrepreneurship
My manga explores and deconstructs the values of independence, nationalism, and generosity.

@Asli @486th President . What made Allah impressed by Waaq was 1. He didn’t claim to create man 2. His ideals were very similar to his 3. The fact that he was the only god to ask Allah for knowledge . 4. They both related to being outcasts for being different and being seen as weird cultists. ( Remember that Islam was introduced to Somalia by Arabic Muslims that were escaping persecution in the Middle East )
this is incorrect.

Well, I wrote as Waaq originally being a Lovecraftian Outer God that was exiled by the others because they thought he was insane. While Waaq loved chaos, he had a respect for life, hope and desired to have a purpose. One day, this exiled being came across the Somalis and became enamored with them. When Islam came, Waaq found the enlightenment he needed. This was for the first time he was truly because he found a kindred spirit with Allah. Waaq received the blessing of all three sides of Abrahamic God and was the only pagan god to do so. He was the one who destroyed the Tower of Babel and mentored King Solomon .
please don't bring Allah into this... it's shirk

:mindblown:

@Nafiso Qalanjo . The main character’s name is Niles Aiden Hassan. Niles is a reference to The Nile River and it’s a city in Illinois . Aiden is my cousin’s name, a node to his American heritage. Aiden sounds like Aden, like the Aden Sea . Hassan is from The Mad Mullah’s real last name, Hassan

@Lady Mudblood Please change your story regarding Allah, don't add him in, this is not only shirk but will cause major backlash from the Somalis you want to advertise your new comic from
Alright, I’ll just focus on the culture aspect . Could I say that Waaq is either an angel or a fragment of God to explain why pre Somali spirituality was very similar to abrahamic religions?

@Revolutionary So what are the limits I can show Islam? I know not to make fun of the religion or question the teachings. The other religion in my story is Donatists but everyone thinks they’re Muslim because it’s very similar. It’s a running joke in the series and Donatus, Bishop of Carthage who created Donatism clearly influenced Islam. Donatism is a Berber version of Catholicism that’s uncompromising, puritanical sect with the beliefs in the sanctioning of war, hijab and the identification of religion and state .

Sister you can speak on Waaq and its religious system and other religions as much as you like, but i advise you to refrain from making comments on islam unless its mentioning it
