Jeegaan, sayn roobaad, qaanso roobaad, kayn roobaad, caasha carab dheer(this is more like a childhood phrase that children used to say), etc.

In my region, kayn roob/roobaad means rainforest, but I’ve heard others from different areas use it to refer to a rainbow.

Qaansoroobeed is just rainbow it’s a word combination from Qaanso = “bow” and roobeed = “of rain”. The more standard Somali word for rainbow is Jeegaan though.

Jeegaan just mean arch or spectrum and in some instances also means range of colours.
