Ditoore, we need to focus on job creation for low skilled workers. We need to create sustainable businesses that employ as many people as possible. That's the best way we can stimulate the economy. All of us with diaspora passport should be creating export-orientated local businesses. In agriculture alone, you can create these type of businesses.

I see PL discussing a mix of 3rd world n 2nd world industries. However they don't discuss what will be the largest industry as that will determine what category we fall into.

I say n repeat many times, we cannot make agriculture our largest employer, we should only do this occupation to make PL food secure becuz it's a low GDP earner and that's why those countries are poor.

Asia's industrial takeoff is a reflection of the region’s factor endowments, namely an abundance of labor relative to land. Agriculture is Africa's future, focusing on it is a TOTALLY legitimate form of development, we need to look to Costa Rica & Peru not Korea & China

Wages in Africa are typically higher than those of other countries at comparable development levels. Instead of fixating on Manufacturing, African countries should look to the experience of Latin American countries with similar resource endowments: a greater relative abundance of land than low-cost labor.

Countries can make far more durable, sustainable economic gains by focusing on improving agricultural productivity with relatively low-cost improvements targeted at smallholder farmers for whom a boost in productivity would have the largest impact.

Because of the predominance of semi-subsistence, small-scale agriculture in Africa, the problems of low agricultural productivity, poverty, and food insecurity are intertwined. Governments would get the biggest bang for their buck in terms of productivity growth by helping poor farmers. Raising agricultural productivity would hit three birds with one stone—spurring growth, reducing poverty, and addressing hunger.

That economic model is still very much at the bottom of the value chain, it's at the land level. Why not take those products of agriculture we produce and then create world class 'restaurants' and cuisines rather then selling it 'raw' thru exports.

That's value adding and u get paid much more for the cuisine then for the 'raw apples, mangos'

Somali mentality isnt much different to Congo. It's selling thing naturally n export. This model doesn't lead to wealth as your not involved in the value chain.

Lets take 'rough diamond, gold' create gold n diamond warehouses that specializes in creating useable products from it like watches, jewellery, chains, etc then we sell the final product and take the whole profit margin while giving the monkey at the land nothing since he isn't involved in the 'processing' stage n creating final products.

We shud apply this model on all african industrie from coffee to diamonds to gold, let puntland be were the warehouses are and skilled workers to craft n process.

I wish we were like whites who go to poor country see what the produce at the 'raw' level n create warehouses n factories to process it so they sell the final product 'high', they always ensure their getting the biggest slice of profit, while poor countries just continue the same model of 'export' looooooool, wat ur exporting will be converted n create hundreds of skilled jobs for them. Don't worry Puntites. Our infrastructure, roads, water treatment plant, sewage, drainage, airports, ports, r worth much more then petty 'towers' when economists calculate our economy. Just the el-dahir to erigavo road is 250 km, each kilometer is $1 million. U see how just that investment is worth 200 hamar towers. Thats why HAGS cant build infrastructure and completely aid dependent. These HAGS are replicating 'east leigh' in nairobi, a pure ghetto with no infrastructure.

Once we finish the infrastructure age and begin the market development and adopt a white economical model which simply scans africa raw materials and our warehouses does the 'processing n refining', our GDP will be even larger as hard dollars will come for our goods plus we will own the 'value chain' since we created the final product thru puntite skills.

I want to employ as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time. That can only be done through agriculture as it requires little skill. Adding value to those products will come naturally as we stimulate the economy and workers have enough money to create value added products. We should not spend our foreign currency importing basic goods that can be produced locally, it is a waste of money and create a deficit.
