@Kheyre they keep wanting more n more not realizing when they do that they risk losing more n more, i wish they had leaders say 'before we lose it all' let's get onboard n stop being a damn obstacle, the more obstacle they lay, will only fuel federalists to point the finger that the city shud be disempowered. That's why ppl r discussing rotation model for the state organs, confederation, etc. They end up losing more by seeking more.
I really do believe we should've started as a 'confederation' with a 'long term goal of becoming federal' over 100 years, where hamar just becomes brussels, over-seeing each nation doing it's own thing but no govt power. As each region develops, we cud discuss what should be delegated to hamar and wat should not be depending on the local conditions of the day.
We brought the pieces of the nation together to quick is my view, we shud let each piece recover, develop, and be independent over 100 years. After we all back to normal, then we can discuss 'federalism', but a country just re-emerging from civil war, we truly rushed federalism.

@Kheyre I would urge our leaders to present to the world even if it's not ideal a confederation for 10 million people, it's possibly the only realistic model. We must demand Somalia is different to the other nations, we are the longest failed state in history and therefore require a 'unique' model for ourselves which the world will recognize as 'Somali model' so this means other states won't be threatened with their own secessionists, civil wars, or state rebuilding efforts, etc.
Being longest failed state can give us the distinction and freedom to craft a model that isn't in-line with other countries models. An E.U model where hamar is brussels and the regions are empwered like independent european countries for at least 100 years time-period should be on the table.

I thank Hamze for sharing this relevant and timely piece. That said, this piece is not flawless as the argument was biased towards one form of government over others who also have their points and also half-baked in the selected part.
Hamza cited some proponents of the federal system. For example, Kenneth Clinton Wheare and de Rougement (sic), but skipped citing the views of the side of the discourse.
Without going deep into the topic and bringing about what other schools of thought have on the subject, let me only pick a few areas that Hamza may have cherry-picked within the same literature he used.
First, Wheare (the authority of the subject) claims that the purpose of having a federal government is ‘no more than a stage towards unitary government’(p.238). However, as quoted by Michael Burgess (2012), who was his admirer, Wheare believed that ‘so far, no federal government—as I define it—has become a unitary government’ (.p238).
Second, According to Wheare, federalism does not suit where there is fragmentation, Balkanisation, foreign intervention and rotten elites, which is our case. In this regard, though not all aspects, Wheare wrote (p.36-37) the following passage:
“It has usually been hard to establish a federal government. The forces of separatism and individualism, which make federalism necessary make any super-state government at all almost impossible.”
Lastly, I believe that Hamza’s topic was on point as it coalesced with Allah’s word “And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned (Hajj:40). And in Al-Baqara:251, “the earth would have been corrupted.”
Hence, HSM's division of the nation by backing the secessionism group over unionists in Laascaanood; advocating clannism which cannot live up with a modern state as they share the same attributes; his intention and actions of plundering the country's basket to his immediate household; Allah checks HSM him with Deni and Puntland’s advocacy is more benevolent though with flaws than HSM’s disaster.
