Why do Puntland Govt lack foreign policy skills? I am lucky as I have exposure to my father diplomatic service 4 Somalia in China. The UAE must be presented the facts. Puntland must show them that our kingdom provided livestock aid to them before their oil boom and are friends beyond mutual interest. We must show them Somaliland is in bed with terrorist in Somalia and that these terrorists are only one posture(weji) of Ikhwanka who has many postures(political parties, universities, orphanages, businesses) in Somalia.

We must remind them that Puntland has fought them since 93 and will continue to fight them because they are not interested in any policy that will promote co-existence, mutual respect, and win-win for Somalia and only endorse hawiye zero sum solutions like they did in Sal-Balaar in Cairo Conference 1997, north/south, irirism, 4.5 and more evil win-lose systems based soley on Darod hatred.

We must remind them Somaliland supports Ikhwaan terrorists shabab in order to achieve secession by destroying Somalia, their also supply-route used by terrorists in our mountains. Will UAE choose it's short-term interest of Berbera port and swap all that for Somalia falling into Ikhwanul Muslimeen domain who will eventually come after them and Saudi. So let them decide.

We need to strenghten our khaleej ties who are worried about ikhwanka(common interest) plus we enjoy historical tie(our kingdoms before somalia), we must also get Oman who we share the strongest ties to change it's neutral posture and assist PL to end ikhwaanka in Somalia and all it's different 'wejiyo'. Puntland must be their no 1 ally in Somalia just like Ikhwaan prioritize Mogadishu(turkey, qatar). SL Is in that bed also of Ikhwaanka.

We need security allies, our development allies can be separate. We should not respect Somalia who is friends with ppl who hate Puntland.
